Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I do not need to swear by the setting of the stars 75 And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew; 76 That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 Which none shall touch but those who are clean: 79 A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Is it such a talk (this Quran) that you (disbelievers) deny? 81 and make it your daily bread [as it were] to call the truth a lie? 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, – 83 Whereas you watch at that moment! 84 But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,- 85 Then why do ye not,- If you are exempt from (future) account,- 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 there shall be repose and ease, and a Garden of Delight; 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 If it is of those who have rejected the Truth and have gone astray, 92 its dwelling will be boiling water 93 And burning in Hellfire 94 That indeed is the absolute truth. 95 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty! 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
