▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 [conveyed unto man] in a well-guarded divine writ 78 Which none shall touch but those who are clean: 79 (This Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Would you say that this statement is a lie? 81 And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false? 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 and you are watching at that time 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 why then, if you are not revived, 86 That you bring it back, if you are truthful? 87 Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah), 88 happiness [awaits him in the life to come,] and inner fulfillment, and a garden of bliss. 89 And if he be of the Companions of the Right Hand, 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, – 92 For him is Entertainment with Boiling Water. 93 And burning in Hell-fire. 94 This is indeed the ultimate truth. 95 So celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme. 96
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
