▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I do not need to swear by the setting of the stars 75 And verily, that is indeed a great oath, if you but know. 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 In a Register well-protected; 78 which none can touch except the purified. 79 A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Wherefore then - when the soul cometh up to the wind-pipe 83 And you are at that time looking on - 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 If you are true to your claim that there is no Day of Judgment, 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 Then if he be of the broughtnigh. 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 If it is of the people of the right hand, 90 [he, too, will be welcomed into paradise with the words,] "Peace be unto thee [that art] of those who have attained to righteousness!" 91 But if he (the dying person) be of the denying (of the Resurrection), the erring (away from the Right Path of Islamic Monotheism), 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 That indeed is the absolute truth. 95 Then praise your Lord, the most supreme. 96
True are the words of God the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
