Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by the setting places of the stars. 75 And this surely is great evidence if you can understand -- 76 that this is indeed a noble Quran, 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 none but the purified shall touch, 79 A Revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 80 Is it this Statement that ye scorn, 81 Would you reject the sustenance that you receive rather than give thanks? 82 Then how is it that when the (dying) breath is withdrawn into the throat (and rattles), 83 And ye are at that moment looking 84 – at that moment when We are closer to him than you, although you do not see (Us) 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 do you not bring back his soul, if you speak truly? 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 Then there is safety and peace (from the Punishment of Allah) for (you as you are from) those on the Right Hand. 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, – 92 Then for him is entertainment with boiling water. 93 and the heat of hell fire. 94 This is the absolute Truth and certainty. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Supreme. 96

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
