▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 no one can touch it except the purified ones. 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 So is this the matter regarding which you laze? 81 Do you make its denial your means of livelihood? 82 Why is it not then that when it (soul) comes up to the throat, 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 and We are nearer to him than you, although you cannot see Us -- 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 That you bring it back, if you are truthful? 87 Then, if he be of those brought nigh the Throne, 88 There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him. 89 And if he be of the fellows on the right hand, 90 Then: peace unto thee, for thou art of those on the right hand. 91 But if he (the dying person) be of the denying (of the Resurrection), the erring (away from the Right Path of Islamic Monotheism), 92 Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water 93 And burning in Hellfire 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
