۞ Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 None shall touch it save the purified ones. 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 So is this the matter regarding which you laze? 81 And you make its denial your share? 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, – 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 – at that moment when We are closer to him than you, although you do not see (Us) 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 Then, if he is one of the honoured, 88 happiness [awaits him in the life to come,] and inner fulfillment, and a garden of bliss. 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 [he, too, will be welcomed into paradise with the words,] "Peace be unto thee [that art] of those who have attained to righteousness!" 91 But if he be of them that cried lies, and went astray, 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96
