۞ I swear by the setting of the stars 75 And verily, that is indeed a great oath, if you but know. 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 So is this the matter regarding which you laze? 81 Do you make its denial your means of livelihood? 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, – 83 And ye the while (sit) looking on,- 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 why, if you are not at Our disposal, 86 That you bring it back, if you are truthful? 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 For him shall be comfort, and fragrance and a Garden of Delight. 89 If he is of those of the right hand, 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 And roasting in a Blaze. 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 96
