The Column (Al-Suff)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
All that is in the heavens and the earth magnifies God; He is the All-mighty; the All-wise. 1 O ye who believe! Why say ye that which ye do not? 2 It is most hateful in the sight of God if you say something and do not practice it. 3 Truly Allah loves those who fight in His Cause in battle array, as if they were a solid cemented structure. 4 And when Moses said to his people, 'O my people, why do you hurt me, though you know I am the Messenger of God to you?' When they swerved, God caused their hearts to swerve; and God. guides never the people of the ungodly. 5 And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad." But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic." 6 Who is more unjust than one who creates falsehood against God when he has already been invited to Islam? God does not guide the unjust people. 7 They seek to extinguish the Light of Allah with their mouths; but Allah will complete His Light, much as the unbelievers dislike it. 8 it is He who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the true religion, so that He may cause it to prevail over all religions, however much the polytheists may dislike it. 9
