Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Blessed be He in whose Hand is the Kingdom, He is powerful over all things, 1 who created death and life that He might examine which of you is best in deeds, and He is the Almighty, the Forgiving, 2 Who hath created seven heavens in storeys. Thou shalt not behold in the Compassionate's creation any over-sight; then repeat thy look, beholdest thou any crack? 3 Then turn back the eye again and again; your look shall come back to you confused while it is fatigued. 4 And certainly We have adorned this lower heaven with lamps and We have made these missiles for the Shaitans, and We have prepared for them the chastisement of burning. 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord is the punishment of hell, and evil is the resort. 6 When they are flung therein they hear its roaring as it boileth up, 7 Almost bursting for fury. Whenever a group is cast into it, its keeper shall ask them: Did there not come to you a warner? 8 They say: Yea, verily, a warner came unto us; but we denied and said: Allah hath naught revealed; ye are in naught but a great error. 9 They will say: "If we had listened and been wise, we would not have been among the inmates of Hell." 10 So it is that they confess their sins. Curse the inhabitants of the Blaze! 11 Surely those who fear their Lord in the Unseen -- there awaits them forgiveness and a great wage. 12 Whether you speak in secrecy or aloud, (it is all the same to Allah). He even knows the secrets that lie hidden in the breasts of people. 13 How could He who created not know His own creation, when He alone is the Most Subtle in His wisdom and the All Aware? 14
