Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He is Able to do all things. 1 He who has created death as well as life, so that He might put you to a test [and thus show] which of you is best in conduct, and [make you realize that] He alone is almighty, truly forgiving. 2 [And] who created seven heavens in layers. You do not see in the creation of the Most Merciful any inconsistency. So return [your] vision [to the sky]; do you see any breaks? 3 Then look again and yet again, thy sight will return unto thee weakened and made dim. 4 And We adorned the lower heaven with lamps, and made them things to stone Satans; and We have prepared for them the chastisement of the Blaze. 5 Those who are bent on blaspheming against their Lord will have the punishment of Hell: an evil destination. 6 When they will be cast thereinto, they will hear thereof a braying even as it boileth up, 7 It almost bursts up with fury. Every time a group is cast therein, its keeper will ask: "Did no warner come to you?" 8 They shall say: Yea! indeed there came to us a warner, but we rejected (him) and said: Allah has not revealed anything, you are only in a great error. 9 And they say: Had we been wont to listen or have sense, we had not been among the dwellers in the flames. 10 So they confess their sins. Curse the inhabitants of the Blaze! 11 As for those who fear their Lord in the unseen will have forgiveness and a rich reward. 12 (Whether you) speak in secret or aloud, He knows the innermost of the chests. 13 What! Will He Who has created not know? Whereas He knows every detail, the All Aware! 14

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
