He it is Who made the earth smooth for you, therefore go about in the spacious sides thereof, and eat of His sustenance, and to Him is the return after death. 15 Do you feel secure that the One in the heavens will not cause you to sink into the earth when it is violently shaking? 16 Or have ye taken security from Him Who is in the heaven that He will not let loose on you a hurricane? But ye shall know the manner of My warning. 17 And indeed those before them belied (the Messengers of Allah), then how terrible was My denial (punishment)? 18 Do they not see the birds above them flying wings spread out or folded? Nothing holds them aloft but God. All things are within His purview. 19 Or which army do you have that will help you against the Most Gracious? The disbelievers are in nothing except an illusion. 20 Or who is it that will give you sustenance if He should withhold His sustenance? Nay! they persist in disdain and aversion. 21 What, is he who walks, falling upon his face, more guided than he who walks upright on a Straight Path! 22 Say: 'It is He who has created you and given to you hearing, sight and hearts but little is it that you thank' 23 Say, "It is He who has scattered you on the earth; and it is to Him that you shall all be gathered [on the Day of Resurrection]. 24 They ask: 'When will this promise come, if you speak truthfully' 25 Say: "As to the knowledge of the time, it is with Allah alone: I am (sent) only to warn plainly in public." 26 But when they shall see it nigh, the faces of those who disbelieve shall be sorry, and it shall be said; This is that which you used to call for. 27 Say thou: bethink ye if Allah destroy me and those with me; or have mercy on us, who will protect the infidels from a torment afflictive? 28 Say: "He is the benevolent; in Him do we believe, and in Him do we place our trust. You will now realise who is in manifest error." 29 Say [unto those who deny the truth]: "What do you think? If of a sudden all your water were to vanish underground, who [but God] could provide you with water from [new] unsullied springs?" 30
