For those who fear God there are pleasure gardens with their Lord. 34 What, shall we make those who have surrendered like to the sinners? 35 What ails you? How ill you judge! 36 Or have you, perchance, a [special] divine writ which you study, 37 That indeed for you is whatever you choose? 38 Or have you taken a binding promise from Us which would hold till the Day of Judgement, that you will get whatever you demand? 39 Ask them (O Muhammad) which of them will vouch for that! 40 Or have they, perchance, any sages to support their views? Well, then, if they are sincere in this their claim, let them produce those supporters of theirs 41 On the day when there shall be a severe affliction, and they shall be called upon to make obeisance, but they shall not be able, 42 Their looks cast down, abasement shall overtake them; and they were called upon to make obeisance indeed while yet they were safe. 43 Let Me alone with him who belieth this discourse; step by step We lead them on when they perceive not. 44 I shall grant them some respite, for My plan is powerful. 45 Or are you asking them for some compensation so that they feel burdened with debt? 46 Or that the Unseen is in their hands, so that they can write it down? 47 So be thou patient under the judgment of thy Lord, and be not as the Man of the Fish, when he called, choking inwardly. 48 Had the favor of his Lord not come upon him, he would have been blamed, cast upon the shore. 49 Then his Lord chose him and placed him among the upright. 50 When the unbelievers hear the Reminder, they nearly strike you down with their glances, and say: 'Surely, he is mad' 51 But it is not except a reminder to the worlds. 52
