Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ The Resurrection Verifier; 1 and what is the Resurrection Verifier? 2 What makes you to know what the Resurrection Verifier is? 3 Thamud and 'Ad people denied the Qari'ah [the striking Hour (of Judgement)]! 4 As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the lightning. 5 And the 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious Wind, exceedingly violent; 6 which continued to strike them for seven nights and eight days so that eventually you could see the people lying dead like the hollow trunks of uprooted palm-trees. 7 Can you see any of their survivors? 8 And Fir'awn and those before him and the overturned cities committed sin. 9 And they disobeyed their Lord's apostle, so He laid hold of them with a grip increasing. 10 Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the sailing ship 11 so that We might make all this a [lasting] reminder to you all, and that every wide-awake ear might consciously take it in. 12 When a single blast is blown on the trumpet, 13 And the earth and the mountains are borne away and crushed with a single crushing. 14 Then on that Day shall happen the Event. 15 And the heaven will split asunder, for that day it will be frail. 16 The angels will appear by its sides and, on that Day, eight [angels] will bear your Lord's throne above them. 17 On that Day you shall be brought to judgment: not [even] the most hidden of your deeds will remain hidden. 18 Then as to him who will be vouchsafed his book in his right hand, he shall say: here! read my book! 19 “I was certain that I will confront my account.” 20 So he will be in a pleasant life - 21 In a lofty Garden – 22 Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near. 23 (It will be said): 'Eat and drink with a good appetite because of what you did in days long passed' 24 And as for him who is given his book in his left hand he shall say: O would that my book had never been given me: 25 and had not known my account. 26 Would it had been the end! 27 "Of no profit to me has been my wealth! 28 My authority is gone away from me. 29 "Seize him and manacle him, 30 "And burn ye him in the Blazing Fire. 31 "Further, make him march in a chain, whereof the length is seventy cubits! 32 for he did not believe in Almighty God, 33 “And did not urge to feed the needy.” 34 On this day, they will have no friends 35 nor any food save the filth 36 that none but sinners eat' 37
