Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ THE CONCRETE REALITY. 1 and what is the Resurrection Verifier? 2 And what could make thee conceive what that laying-bare of the truth will be? 3 The people of Thamud and Ad denied the Day of Judgment. 4 The Thamuds were destroyed by a violent blast of sound. 5 And as for A’ad, they were destroyed by a severe thundering windstorm. 6 that He subjected upon them for seven nights and eight days consecutively and you might have seen them struck down as if they were the stumps of palm trees that had fallen down. 7 Can you see any remnant of them now? 8 And there came Pharaoh and those before him and the overturned cities with sin. 9 And they disobeyed the Apostle of their Lord, so He punished them with a vehement punishment. 10 Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the sailing ship 11 In order to make it a remembrance for you, and in order that the ears that store may remember. 12 Then, when one blast is sounded on the Trumpet, 13 And the earth and the mountains shall be removed from their places, and crushed with a single crushing, 14 Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur, 15 The heaven will be split; because on that Day it will be frail. 16 On its fringes will be angels, eight of them, bearing their Lord's throne aloft. 17 On that day ye will be exposed; not a secret of you will be hidden. 18 Then as to him who will be vouchsafed his book in his right hand, he shall say: here! read my book! 19 Certainly I thought that I should encounter my reckoning.' 20 Then he shall be in a life well-pleasing 21 In a Garden lofty. 22 with fruits within easy reach. 23 [And all who are thus blest will be told:] "Eat and drink with good cheer in return for all [the good deeds] that you have sent ahead in days gone by!" 24 However, those who will receive the books of the records of their deeds in their left hands will say, "We wish that this record had never been given to us 25 And not known my account! 26 Oh, would that this [death of mine] had been the end of me! 27 "Of no profit to me has been my wealth! 28 My power hath gone from me. 29 (It will be said): Take him and fetter him 30 and then roast him in Hell, 31 Fasten a chain to them - seventy cubits long - 32 He did not believe in God the supreme, 33 And urged not on the feeding of Al-Miskin (the poor), 34 That is why he has no friend today, 35 and no food except pus 36 Which none but sinners eat. 37
