But nay! I swear by that which you see, 38 And that which you do not see. 39 because the Quran is certainly the word of a reverent messenger. 40 It is not the speech of a poet (little do you believe) 41 Nor is it the word of a soothsayer (or a foreteller), little is that you remember! 42 It is a revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 43 Had he invented against Us any sayings, 44 We surely should have seized him by his right hand (or with power and might), 45 then, We would surely have cut from him the aorta (vein) 46 And not one of you could have withheld Us from him. 47 And verily, this Quran is a Reminder for the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). 48 We certainly know that some among you will give the lie to it, 49 And indeed, it will be [a cause of] regret upon the disbelievers. 50 And indeed it is a certain Truth. 51 Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 52
