I swear by that which ye see. 38 and by that you do not see, 39 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is the word of a noble Messenger. 40 it is not the word of a poet -- how little you believe! -- 41 Nor is it the speech of a sooth-sayer. Little are ye admonished. 42 (It is) a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 43 And if he [i.e., the Prophets] had forged this Discourse and thereafter ascribed it to Us, 44 We would indeed have seized him by his right hand, 45 And then severed his life-vein. 46 not one of you could have prevented it from him. 47 And verily, this Quran is a Reminder for the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). 48 And verily, We know that there are some among you that belie (this Quran). [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 29, Page 68] 49 And indeed it (this Quran) will be an anguish for the disbelievers (on the Day of Resurrection). 50 But verily it is Truth of assured certainty. 51 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Almighty. 52
