But nay, I swear by all that you can see 38 as well as all that you cannot see: 39 Behold, this [Qur'an] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 40 It is not poet's speech - little is it that ye believe! 41 Nor diviner's speech - little is it that ye remember! 42 A sending down from the Lord of all Being. 43 And if he [i.e., the Prophets] had forged this Discourse and thereafter ascribed it to Us, 44 We would have seized him by his right hand, 45 then We would surely have cut his life-vein 46 and not one of you could have defended him. 47 Surely it is a Reminder to the godfearing; 48 We know that there are some among you who will belie. 49 and surely it will be a cause of regret for the unbelievers. 50 And Verily, it (this Quran) is an absolute truth with certainty. 51 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 52
