BUT NAY! I call to witness all that you can see, 38 And what ye see not, 39 Behold, this [Qur'an] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 40 It is not the word of a poet: little it is ye believe! 41 nor the speech of a soothsayer (little do you remember). 42 [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 43 Now if he [whom We have entrusted with it] had dared to attribute some [of his own] sayings unto Us, 44 We assuredly had taken him by the right hand 45 Then would have cut off his heart’s artery. 46 not one of you could have prevented it from him. 47 Surely it is a Reminder to the godfearing; 48 And indeed, We know that among you are deniers. 49 it will be a source of bitter regret for those who deny the truth -- 50 But verily it is Truth of assured certainty. 51 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty. 52
