What ails the unbelievers, running with outstretched necks 36 On the right and on the left, in companies? 37 Does every one of them hope to enter [by this means] a garden of bliss? 38 Never! We have indeed created them from a thing they know. 39 But nay! I swear by the Lord of the Easts and the Wests that We are certainly able 40 to replace them by others who would be better than they; and We shall certainly not be overpowered. 41 so leave them to indulge in vain idle talk and amuse themselves, until they face the Day which they have been promised, 42 the Day on which they will hastily come forth from their graves, as though they were hurrying on to the altars of their deities. 43 With lowered eyes, disgrace overcoming them; this is the day, which they had been promised. 44
