Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “I have received the divine revelation that some jinns attentively listened to my recitation, so they said, ‘We have heard a unique Qur’an.’ 1 guiding to rectitude. We believe in it, and we will not associate with our Lord anyone. 2 Exalted is the glory of our Lord; He has neither wife nor son. 3 The ignorant fool among us has spoken outrageously against Allah, 4 and that [we were mistaken when] we thought that neither man nor [any of] the invisible forces would ever tell a lie about God. 5 And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden. 6 Like you, they thought that Allah would never raise the dead. 7 And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames. 8 There, we would sit to eavesdrop, but now an eavesdropper finds a flame in wait for him. 9 and that “we do not know whether evil is intended for those on the earth, or whether their Lord intends to direct them to the Right Way”; 10 Some of us are righteous, but some are otherwise, we are sects that differ. 11 We realised that we could not weaken the power of God on earth, nor outpace Him by running away. 12 and that “when we heard the teaching of the Right Way we came to believe in it; he who believes in His Lord shall have no fear of suffering loss or being subjected to any injustice”; 13 'Amongst us are some that submit their wills (to Allah), and some that swerve from justice. Now those who submit their wills - they have sought out (the path) of right conduct: 14 but as for those who abandon themselves to wrongdoing - they are indeed but fuel for [the fires of] hell!'" 15 (Say): "If they keep to the right path We shall give them water in abundance to drink 16 ‘In order to test them with it; and whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord – He will put him in a punishment that keeps on increasing.’ 17 And that the mosques are Allah's, therefore call not upon any one with Allah: 18 "Yet when the Devotee of Allah stands forth to invoke Him, they just make round him a dense crowd." 19
