Jinns (Al-Jinn)
28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Say (O Muhammad): It is revealed unto me that a company of the Jinn gave ear, and they said: Lo! we have heard a marvellous Qur'an, 1 Which guideth unto righteousness, so we believe in it and we ascribe no partner unto our Lord. 2 He exalted be the Majesty of our Lord, who has neither taken to Himself a wife, nor a son! 3 The ignorant fool among us has spoken outrageously against Allah, 4 'But we do think that no man or spirit should say aught that untrue against Allah. 5 "Certain human beings sought refuge with certain jinn and this increased the rebelliousness of those jinn. 6 'And they (came to) think as ye thought, that Allah would not raise up any one (to Judgment). 7 And we stretched towards heaven, but we found it filled with terrible guards and meteors. 8 And that we used to sit in some of the sitting-places thereof to steal a hearing, but he who would (try to) listen now would find a flame lying in wait for him: 9 "'And [now we have become aware] that we [created beings] may not know whether evil fortune is intended for [any of] those who live on earth, or whether it is their Sustainer's will to endow them with consciousness of what is right: 10 ‘And among us some are virtuous and some are the other type; we are split into several branches.’ 11 And we know that we cannot frustrate Allah in the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 When we heard the guidance, we believed in it; and whosoever believes in his Lord, he shall fear neither paltriness nor vileness. 13 and that “among us some are Muslims (Those who have submitted to Allah), and some of us are deviant. So those who became Muslims found the Right Course; 14 'But those who swerve,- they are (but) fuel for Hell-fire'- 15 If they (the idolaters) tread the right path, We shall give them to drink of water in abundance 16 so that We may test them by it -- whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord shall be sternly punished. 17 And the mosques are for Allah (Alone), so invoke not anyone along with Allah. 18 ‘And that when Allah’s bondman stood up to worship Him, the jinns had almost crowded upon him.’” 19

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
