Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Say, [O Muhammad], "It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn listened and said, 'Indeed, we have heard an amazing Qur'an. 1 Guiding unto rectitude; wherefore we have believed therein, and we shall by no means associate with our Lord anyone. 2 He exalted be the Majesty of our Lord, who has neither taken to Himself a wife, nor a son! 3 'And that the foolish among us [i.e. Iblis (Satan) or the polytheists amongst the jinns] used to utter against Allah that which was wrong and not right. 4 ‘Whereas we thought that men and jinns would never fabricate a lie against Allah!’ 5 "Certain human beings sought refuge with certain jinn and this increased the rebelliousness of those jinn. 6 And indeed they imagined, even as ye imagined, that Allah will not raise any one. 7 And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames. 8 We sat in observatories to listen; but any one who listened found a shooting star in wait for him. 9 And that we know not whether evil is meant for those who are on earth or whether their Lord means to bring them good: 10 And among us are the righteous, and among us are [others] not so; we were [of] divided ways. 11 We knew that we could never challenge God whether we stayed on earth or fled elsewhere. 12 ‘And that when we heard the guidance, we accepted faith in it; so whoever accepts faith in his Lord, has no fear – neither of any loss nor of any injustice.’ 13 Some of us are Muslims and some of us have deviated from the Truth. Whoever has embraced Islam has followed the right guidance. 14 But as for the unjust, they will be, for Hell, firewood.' 15 If they had followed the Path We would give to them abundant water to drink, 16 as a trial for them. God will make those who disregard the guidance from their Lord suffer increasing torment. 17 and that “mosques belong to Allah, so do not invoke anyone with Him”; 18 When the worshiper of Allah stood supplicating to Him, they swarmed around him (Prophet Muhammad). 19
