By no means! By the moon, 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 a warning to humankind, 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 like frightened donkeys 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
