▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
No! By the moon 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 a warning to humans, 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 From the guilty. 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
