Nay, and by the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 in Gardens they will question 40 about the guilty ones: 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 until death approached us". 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 As they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
