Nay, and by the moon, 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 a warning to humankind, 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 Of evil-doers: 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 "Nor were we of those who fed the indigent; 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 Till death overtook us. 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
