No, by the moon! 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 it is a warning to man, 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 From the guilty. 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 we fed not the needy, 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 Nay, but they do not [believe in and hence, do not] fear the life to come. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
