Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay! By the moon 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 Warn the men. 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 about the sinners. 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
True are the words of God the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
