Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay! By the moon 32 By the night when it departs. 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 Except those on the right side. 39 in Gardens they will question 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
