No, by the moon! 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 concerning the sinners, 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 Nay, but they do not [believe in and hence, do not] fear the life to come. 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
