No! By the moon 32 And the night when it departs, 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 a warning to mortal man 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
