I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 a warning to humans, 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
