▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
No, by the moon! 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
