Nay, by the moon, 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 A warning to mortals, 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 in Gardens they will question 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
