No, by the moon! 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 A warning to mankind, 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
