NAY, but consider the moon! 32 by the retreating night, 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 About the guilty: 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Till death overtook us. 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
