No, by the moon! 32 by the retreating night, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 it is a warning to man, 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
