Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 and by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?" 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 Upon that day the recourse shall be to thy Lord. 12 Upon that day man shall be told his former deeds and his latter; 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it, 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 Nay, when (the soul) reaches to the collar bone (i.e. up to the throat in its exit), 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 unto thy Lord that Day is the drive. 30
