Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? 3 Yea indeed, We are able to make whole his very finger-tips! 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Resurrection?' 6 So, when the sight shall be dazed, 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 On that day man will cry out, “Where shall I flee?” 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat on that day. 12 Then man will be told what he had sent ahead (of good) and what he had left behind. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation (by Us). 18 And thereafter verily upon us is the expounding thereof. 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 gazing upon their Lord; 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
