Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? 3 Indeed yes, We are able to shape his fingerstips yet again! 4 Yet man is sceptical of what is right before him. 5 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Resurrection?' 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 Alas! No refuge! 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. 16 Ours it is to gather it, and to recite it. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 that will be the time to be driven to one's Lord. 30
