Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 On that day man will cry out, “Where shall I flee?” 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back. 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds). 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated): 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 Some faces on that Day will be fresh and resplendent, 22 Waiting for their Lord. 23 And on that Day there shall be scowling faces, 24 In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them; 25 Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat. 26 And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" 27 and he knows that it is the time of parting; 28 And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded) 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
