Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 When the eye is bewildered, 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back. 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world, 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them; 25 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat 26 And it is asked: "Is there any reciter of charms and amulets?" 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
