Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 Yet man is sceptical of what is right before him. 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 But when sight is confounded 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Nay; the truth is that you love ardently (the good of this world) that can be obtained hastily, 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 Some faces on that Day will be fresh and resplendent, 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 Others will be despondent, 24 Expecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking. 25 Nay, when (the soul) reaches to the collar bone (i.e. up to the throat in its exit), 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 (the angels of mercy or the angels of wrath,)" then, he will realize that it is time to leave this world. 28 And anguish will be heaped upon anguish: 29 That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord! 30
