Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?" 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 on that Day man will ask, "Where can I escape?" 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 even though he may veil himself in excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Lo! upon Us (resteth) the putting together thereof and the reading thereof. 17 But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated): 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 knowing that a crushing calamity is about to befall them. 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
