Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be? 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat on that day. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. 16 Verily upon us is the collecting thereof and the reciting thereof. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 None except you, O disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one. 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 Expecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded) 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
