Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). 2 What, does man reckon We shall not gather his bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon is buried in darkness. 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 so they might think the Calamity had been inflicted upon them. 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 (the angels of mercy or the angels of wrath,)" then, he will realize that it is time to leave this world. 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 To your Lord on that day shall be the driving. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
