Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips. 4 Aye! man desireth that he may sin before him. 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 The moon eclipsed, 8 when the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day man will ask, "Where can I escape?" 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 even though he may veil himself in excuses. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
