Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching soul. 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Surely yes, why not? We can properly make all his phalanxes. 4 But man would fain deny what is before him. 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 And the moon darkens 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 By no means! No place of safety! 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted, 24 In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them; 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
