Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer). 2 What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? 3 Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?" 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 on that Day will man say: “Whither the refuge?” 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 Upon that day man shall be told his former deeds and his latter; 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 in spite of all the excuses he may offer. 15 Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 18 Again on Us (devolves) the explaining of it. 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 Looking toward their Lord; 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
