Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be? 6 When the eye is bewildered, 7 The moon eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest. 12 That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back. 13 Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds]. 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 and look forward to receiving mercy from their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be Basirah (dark, gloomy, frowning, and sad), 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And he bethinketh that it is the time of parting. 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
